Beauty I Actually Try, Test & Live With

I love a beautiful promise. I just like it better after the product has survived real life.

This is where I share beauty products I have personally used, what I am still testing, and what I am not ready to declare after one flattering mirror moment. Research skills apply to hair dye and nail glue too. Apparently, my PhD came with very broad terms of service.

How this hub works

The status label matters

A product can be part of my real life before the review is finished. I separate what I have reviewed from what I am still testing so an early impression does not quietly put on a lab coat and pretend to be a conclusion.

In my real-life testing queue

Interesting enough to keep testing—not finished enough to score

These products are still in my testing queue, so they do not have public reviews yet. That distinction keeps an early impression from quietly turning into a verdict.

Lunar Tides Semi-Permanent Hair Color

I purchased and use Lunar Tides Fuchsia and Plum. The photo documents my earlier 70% Fuchsia / 30% Plum blend. My newer darker blend is 70% Fuchsia, 20% Plum and 10% Dark Violet. Review in progress; no overall score yet.

Toly Toly Ice Crystals Purple

In my real-world wear, Ice Crystals Purple looked darker and softer—more lavender-violet—than the brighter listing image suggested. Only my owner-provided wear photo is shown here; the unverified listing image remains quarantined.

This is a personal appearance observation, not medical advice or a safety claim. Lens specifications and a full verdict remain withheld until verified. View my TolyTolly product notes

The shopping side is still research

A beautiful product still has to survive the whole cart

My established approach is to compare the exact product, final retailer total, compatible coupons, eligible cashback, shipping, return terms, and the value of my time. With beauty, I am still developing the retailer-specific layer: Ulta is becoming part of the comparison, while Sephora remains a research direction rather than a settled system.
